Meet the ethnics groups 06 Days/ 05 Nights
The guide will see us at the hotel and we leave the bustling city for the North West highlands. On the way we visit the local markets, pass along endless corn, sugar cane and orange plantations. In the afternoon we arrive at a Thai village hidden at the foot of a mighty mountain range. Free time for a short rest then, on bike, we ride around the village, meet local people and discover Thai culture. Overnight at the inhabitant.
The adventure continues on the rolling roads through breathtaking landscapes: the amazing rice terraces. We visit the Lim Mong village of Thai and Hmong ethnics and spend overnight in a typical house on stilts.
After breakfast we drive to Sapa. Extraordinary scenery and the authenticity of the ethnic groups can be seen on the road. Upon arrival and check-in the hotel we are free to explore the amazing corners of the town.
Today we discover the daily life of different ethnics living in the surroundings of Sapa. We take a hike to Muong Hoa valley, visit Lao Chai and Ta Van villages, home to the Dzao and Dzay. We continue walking in the afternoon to Cat Cat – Hmong village. Back to Sapa and overnight.
In the early morning, we leave Sapa for Bac Ha market (open only on Sundays) – the largest ethnic market in the North West highlands. We then arrive at a home village of Tay where we meet the local, have a talk with them and enjoy a cup of tea with the family. The trip is coming to end with the transfer to Lao Cai railways station for the night train to Hanoi. Overnight on board.
