Day 1
Ho Chi Minh city/ Arrival (_/ _/ D)

Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City. Formerly known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City, the most important city in Vietnam after the capital of Hanoi, plays not only a role of a biggest commercial city but also a major center of sciences, technology, industry of the country. Welcome by the guide at the airport and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, short presentation about Vietnam before starting the visit to Ben Thanh Market, War Museum, the post office, the cathedral.
Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at 3* hotel.

Day 2
Saigon – Cu Chi – Saigon  (B/ L/ D )

Excursion by bus to Cu Chi. Visit the famous underground tunnels network built by Vietnamese guerrillas during the last war. It was also home to around 10,000 people for years. Try to detect the entry gate and experience the war atmosphere by going down into the tunnels. Lunch at local restaurant and back to Ho Chi Minh city to explore Chinatown, the busiest quarter of the city and visit the Thien Hau temple. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at 3* hotel.

Day 3
Saigon – Can Gio (B/ L/ D )

Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Can Gio, the first mangrove forest in Vietnam to be admitted to the World Network of Biosphere Reserves by UNESCO in January 2000. It is said that Can Gio salt-marsh forest is the best recovered, protected and managed in Southeast Asia. Visit to the Can Gio Information Center to learn about the biodiversity of the reserve. Transfer to the hotel. Check-in. Enjoy lunch with specialties.
In the afternoon, visit Can Gio Museum and take canoe to explore the Sac mangrove forest. Back by bus to the hotel. Free time at leisure. Dinner and overnight in 3* resort.

Day 4
Can Gio – My Tho – Saigon – Night train to Da Nang (B/ L/ D )

After breakfast departure to My Tho, one of the provinces of Mekong Delta. Discover a watery landscape of green fields and hidden villages, the narrow canals bordered by the longan trees. Boat ride on the mighty Mekong to learn how people are living in harmony with the nature. Disembark and walk under the shade of the coconut trees to visit local people. Enjoy the fresh tropical fruits and listen to the traditional music in the garden. Experience the “catching fish in the pond” to taste the real life of the Mekong people. Fishes caught will be prepared for lunch together with local dishes. After lunch, ride a horse cart around the village and take a boat back to the pier. Transfer by bus to Saigon for dinner at the local restaurant before boarding night train ( ETD 19:00 ) to Da Nang city. Overnight on board.

Day 5
Da Nang – My Son – Hoi An (B/ L/ D )

Arrival in Da Nang (ETA 12:00 ). Known as Tourane during French colonial rule, Danang is one of the major seaports in Vietnam and the leading industrial, commercial city in the center of the country. Transfer from the railways station to the restaurant for lunch. Start the visit to the Cham Museum to discover the lost splendid culture in South East Asia. Established by the end of the 19th century by the Ecole Francaise d’Extreme Orient, the museum was built in Cham architectural style and displays the most extensive collection of Cham art worldwide. Continue by bus to My Son sanctuary. Explore the remains of a series of impressive tower-temples in the religious and political capital of the ancient Champa Kingdom. Back to Hoi An. Dinner at the typical local restaurant in town and overnight in 3* hotel.

Day 6
Hoi An – Da Nang – Night train to Ha Noi (B/ L/ D )

Recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999, Hoi An is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Walk on the small streets to visit the ancient town: the Japanese covered bridge, the local market, the old typical local house, etc. Lunch at the restaurant in Hoian before transfer by bus to Danang for train to Hanoi (ETD 13:50). Dinner box and overnight on board.

Day 7
Ha Noi (B/ L/ D )

Rich in culture, Hanoi offers to the world its very authentic aspect: old temples, pagodas dated from 11th century, its treasure of streets and alleys populated by ancient traditional trades and crafts with small streets, a colonial quarter with wide tree-lined avenues, lakes and green parks and villas reminiscent of a French town of the 30s. Imperial city since from 1010, Hanoi resumed his role of the political capital after the reunification of the country in 1975. Arrival in Hanoi in the early morning (ETA 04:30am). Visit the typical flower market of Hanoi. Transfer to the restaurant for breakfast. Continuation of the visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Hochiminh’s house, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple. Lunch during excursion. Check-in the hotel. In the afternoon visit The Sword lake, Ngoc Son Temple and enjoy water puppet show. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in 3* hotel.

Day 8
Ha Noi – Ha Long (B/ L/ D )

After arrival in Hanoi we will be transferred to hotel for breakfast then continue by road to Ha Long bay. The name of Ha Long comes from the legend of the dragon going down to the sea. We board the lovely typical ship for an extraordinary cruise through thousand of islands, islets and rocks. Enjoy buffet lunch while sailing on the bay. In the afternoon, we experience a local rowing boat to visit Luon cave. The rest of the day is for swimming, relaxing on the beach or climbing up to the top of Rock mountain to enjoy a spectacular panorama view of the bay.Back to the ship. Relax and enjoy sunset on the sun deck while cruising to overnight anchorage. Sumptuous dinner is served on board following by a full relax in the peaceful and quiet night in the bay. Overinght on 4* cruise.

Day 9
Ha Long – Ha Noi – Night train to Lao Cai (B/ Br/ D )

The new day starts with Tai Chi class on the sundeck and sunrise on the bay. Enjoy coffee, tea and bakeries on board while cruising to Surprise grotto for a visit of the most impressive caves of the bay. We continue sailing in the splendid beauty of the bay while brunch buffet is served. The cruise ends in the late morning. After disembarkation, drive back to Hanoi with a stop visit to Bac Ninh, a home village of the famous Quan Ho folkloric songs. Visit But Thap Pagoda built in 13th century, one of the most beautiful pagodas in Vietnam. Dinner at the typical restaurant in Hanoi before boarding the night train to Lao Cai.

Day 10
Lao Cai – Sapa (B/ L/ D )

Arrival in the early morning in Lao Cai. Transfer to Sapa by car passing the breathtaking landscape. Sa Pa is a quiet mountain town lying at the foot of Fan Si Pan, the highest mountain in Indochina (3,413 m). Home to diversified ethnic minorities, Sapa is famous for its mountainous scenery and its rich culture. Authentic hill tribes, amazing rice terraces, lush vegetation, wonderful climate, superb harmony between minority people and nature make Sapa unique in the region.
After the breakfast at the hotel, start to discover the authentic culture of the Northern highlands of the country. Follow a small track to cross Muong Hoa river and walk among the wonderful rice terraces to Lao Chai village. Visit to the local house and witness the daily activities of the Black Hmong ethnic. Enjoy the superb landscape during the walk on the narrow alley to Ta Van village and discover the traditional customs of Giay ethnic. Transfer to Sapa for lunch then downhill to Ta Phin village, home to Dao people. Discover the real life of the local ethnic and experience a foot bath with Dao herbal medicines. Back to Sapa for dinner and overnight at 3* hotel.

Day 11
Sapa – Lao Cai – Night train to Ha Noi (B/ L/ D )

In the morning take a windy sloping road through a superb mountainous scenery to Bac ha. It is the most colorful and busiest Sunday market in the region where villagers from the surrounding hill tribes gather and exchange goods. Bac ha market is not only the place for trade but also a site where people meet, greet and chat together around their very typical local soup pan.
Visit the market and experience the unique amazing ambiance of Bac ha with a wide range of colorful ethnic minorities: Flower H’mong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay, Nung, etc. After lunch, take a boat ride on Chay river to visit the home village of Tay ethnic minority. Walk around the village and listen to the local talking about their tradition and daily life. Enjoy a cup of tea at the local house as well as a healthy mountainous atmosphere. Transfer to Lao cai. Dinner before boarding the night train back to Hanoi.

Day 12
Ha Noi – Departure (B/ _/ _ )

Arrival in Hanoi and have breakfast at the restaurant. Free time till transfer to the airport for flight back home.
