A short trip to the 1,000 year old city of Hanoi, the World Heritage Site of Ha Long and the spectacular landscape of Ninh Binh would be an unforgettable experience of the authentic culture, the amazing sceneries and the extraordinary hospitality of the people.
Arrival at the airport. Welcome by the local guide and transfer to the city. Hanoi is the most antique capital of the South East Asia. Rich in culture, Hanoi offers to the world its very authentic aspect: old temples, pagodas dated from 11th century, its treasure of streets and alleys populated by ancient traditional trades and crafts with small streets, a colonial quarter with wide tree-lined avenues, lakes and green parks and villas reminiscent of a French town of the 30s. Visit the “heart” of Hanoi: the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum square, the “One Pillar Pagoda” built in the early 11th century, Quan Thanh temple, the Temple of Literature, home to the oldest university in Vietnam, the Sword Lake with Ngoc Son Temple, the old quarters. Dinner at the typical restaurant. Overnight in 3* hotel.
After breakfast we take a drive to Halong. The name Ha Long means the place where the dragon goes down to the sea. It is said that a big dragon has slashed its tail into the sea and thousand of islands appeared. Recognized as World Heritage site by UNESO in 1994, the mystical Ha Long offers a spectacular sight dotted by immense number of islands with different shapes. We arrive at the pier where a lovely traditional junk is waiting for us for a fantastic cruise through the myriad of islands, islets, rocks. Seafood lunch will be served while sailing. The junk stops at Titop Island to give us a chance to enjoy a superb panorama of the bay from its peak. Swimming or kayaking in the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Dinner on board and take a full relax in the peaceful and quiet night in the bay. Overnight on 3* cruise.
Enjoy the sunrise in the bay and practice the Tai Chi on the deck. Continuation of the cruise to discover the splendid beauty of the bay especially the Surprise Grottoe. After disembarkation, drive to Ninh Binh, located in the marshy Red River delta, featuring a network of waterways coupled with spectacular limestone formations rising up from rice paddy fields. Stop to visit the Dinh and Le temples built in the 10th century. Dinner and overnight at 4* hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we take a bike on the country roads to Tam Coc. Enjoy a rowing sampan ride on the quiet stream among the water rice fields surrounded by the Limestone Mountains. The excursion continues by the transfer to Bai Dinh, the biggest pagoda of the country with 500 La Han statues and the biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam. Lunch with specialties will be served after the visit at the local restaurant. Drive back to Hanoi. Dinner and overnight at 3* hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time for shopping till transfer to the airport. End of our services.
