Arrival at the airport. Pick up and transfer to the city. Rich in culture, Hanoi offers to the world its very authentic aspect: old temples, pagodas dated from 11th century, its treasure of streets and alleys populated by ancient traditional trades and crafts with small streets, a colonial quarter with wide tree-lined avenues, lakes and green parks and villas reminiscent of a French town of the 30s. Visit the “heart” of Hanoi: the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum square, the “One Pillar Pagoda” built in the early 11th century, Quan Thanh temple, the Temple of Literature, home to the oldest university in Vietnam, the Sword Lake with Ngoc Son temple, the old quarters. After breakfast, transfer by road to Ha Long bay. The name of Ha Long comes from the legend of the dragon going down to the sea. We board the lovely typical ship for an extraordinary cruise through thousand of islands, islets and rocks. Enjoy buffet lunch while sailing on the bay. In the afternoon, we experience a local rowing boat to visit Luon cave. The rest of the day is for swimming, relaxing on the beach or climbing up to the top of Rock mountain to enjoy a spectacular panorama view of the bay. Back to the ship. Relax and enjoy sunset on the sun deck while cruising to overnight anchorage. Sumptuous dinner is served on board following by a full relax in the peaceful and quiet night in the bay. The new day starts with Tai Chi class on the sundeck and sunrise on the bay. Enjoy coffee, tea and bakeries on board while cruising to Surprise grotto for a visit of the most impressive caves of the bay. Lying on the banks of Perfume River, Hue has been chosen capital of the country in 18th century. After the breakfast, we enjoy a ballade on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda, one of the most beautiful pagodas in Vietnam. “Thien Mu” (Heavenly Lady) referred to a legend that an old woman had appeared on the hill and quoted that a pagoda would be erected on this site for the prosperity of the country. The excursion continues to the Great citadel built in 1805 including: the Noon Gate, the Palace of Supreme Harmony, the Forbidden City, the Royal theatre, The Great Urns, etc. After the lunch at the typical restaurant, we drive to visit the tomb of Tu Duc King – one of the most beautiful royal architectural works of the Nguyen dynasty. Transfer by road to Hoi An and enjoy the spectacular panorama from the top of the Cloudy Pass. Arrival in Hoi An. Overnight in 4* hotel
Today is reserved for the discovery of the countryside of the central Vietnam. We cycle the small road bordered with trees to Tra Que village, a charming little village on the edge of Hoi An. Walk around the village to explore different kind of scented vegetables in the garden and participate in the daily activities of the local farmers. Relax with a foot bath before joining the cooking class hosted by the owner of the local house. After lunch, transfer to the old town of Hoi An to visit the Japanese covered bridge, the ancient house ith the architecture influenced by Japanese and Chinese design, the Cantonese Assembly Hall, the handicraft workshop where folk music performances are offered and Hoi An market. Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Formerly known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City, the second most important city in Vietnam after the capital of Ha Noi, plays a role not only of a biggest commercial city but also of a major center of science, technology, industry of the country. Visit the Chinatown crammed with mysterious sacred temples, Binh Tay market, Thien Hau temple, the municipal Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the War Museum. Overnight in 3* hotel
After breakfast, transfer by road to Ben Tre. Take a boat trip on the Mekong and visit to the handicraft brick kiln then go into the small canal bordered by longan trees, papaya trees, and water coconut trees. We leave the boat to watch how local people make candies with coconut and taste the fresh seasonal fruits. A motor-cart takes us on the country path to a beautiful typical house for lunch. After a short break, we visit to the old local house to witness a large collection of antique ceramics. Experience a rowing sampan along the water palms to a motor boat that takes us back to the pier. Transfer back to Saigon for flight departure to next destination. End of our services.
